Avengers Age of Ultron – A new Marvel era

In Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron, the team is back to face the evil robot/android Ultron, who plans to take over the world and wipe out humanity. Once again this film is directed by Joss Whedon, and stars Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

We rejoin the team mid-action as they tussle with HYDRA agent Baron von Strucker’s (Thomas Kretschmann) on a mission to retrieve Loki’s stolen sceptre. It’s an expert and epic sequence, a splendid use of slo-mo showcasing each Avenger’s special skills while offering a recap of the main characters for anyone who may not remember 2012’s Avengers movie.

When the team gets back together to face off with James Spader as Ultron, along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Pietro is known as Quicksilver, and Wanda is known as the Scarlet Witch. The Vision is who was once J.A.R.V.I.S. the computer that helped Tony Stark when he was Iron Man.
